GCC Condemns Attacks on Saudi Arabia

Council reaffirms full solidarity with Riyadh, warns of threat to regional security

The Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), Jassem Mohamed Albudaiwi, strongly condemned continued terrorist attacks targeting Saudi Arabia by Iran-backed militias in Iraq.

Albudaiwi said the attacks represent a dangerous escalation and a blatant violation of Saudi Arabia’s sovereignty, posing a direct threat to its security, stability, and the wider regional peace and security.

He reaffirmed the GCC countries’ full solidarity with Saudi Arabia, stressing that member states stand united with the Kingdom and support all measures taken to protect its security, sovereignty, and territorial integrity.

The GCC Secretary-General warned that continuing such attacks undermines international efforts to reduce tensions and strengthen security and stability across the region.
