China Urges US, Iran to Restore Safe Passage Through Hormuz

BEIJING: China has formally requested that the United States and Iran restore safe passage through the Strait of Hormuz amid renewed conflict over the waterway's management.
Foreign Ministry spokesperson Lin Jian announced during a Tuesday briefing that ‘restoring normal and safe passage through the strait as soon as possible is a shared aspiration of the international community’.
Additionally, Lin Jian emphasized that Beijing remains committed to ‘make unremitting efforts to help de-escalate’ the volatile situation. This diplomatic push highlights Beijing's focus on maintaining stability in this critical maritime trade route.
