Kuwait, Japan Explore New Areas of Cooperation

Kuwait’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Jarrah Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah held talks with Japan’s Foreign Minister Toshimitsu Motegi focusing on bilateral relations and ways to further enhance cooperation between the two friendly nations.

The meeting took place in the Turkish capital, Ankara, during Sheikh Jarrah’s visit to lead Kuwait’s delegation at the ministerial meeting of the countries participating in the Istanbul Cooperation Initiative and member states of the North Atlantic Alliance, held on the sidelines of the NATO Summit proceedings.

During the talks, the two ministers reviewed the strong ties between Kuwait and Japan and discussed opportunities to expand cooperation in various fields.

They also exchanged views on the latest regional and international developments, highlighting the importance of continued coordination and dialogue on issues of mutual interest.

The meeting reflects the ongoing efforts by both countries to strengthen their longstanding partnership and further develop relations across political, economic, and other areas.
