Qatar, Ireland Sign MoU to Strengthen Diplomatic Cooperation

Memorandum of understanding establishes political consultations between the two foreign ministries 

His Excellency Shaikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani, Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Qatar, received Her Excellency Helen McEntee, Ireland's Minister of Foreign Affairs, Trade, and Defense, in Doha on Monday during her official visit to the country.

The two officials reviewed bilateral relations and explored ways to further strengthen cooperation across various sectors. They also discussed the latest regional developments, with particular focus on diplomatic efforts to promote security and stability following the signing of the memorandum of understanding between the United States and Iran. A number of other issues of mutual interest were also addressed during the meeting.

Following the talks, Shaikh Mohammed witnessed the signing of a memorandum of understanding establishing political consultations between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Qatar and Ireland. The agreement aims to enhance regular diplomatic dialogue and deepen cooperation between the two countries.

The memorandum was signed on behalf of Qatar by Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Sultan bin Saad Al Muraikhi, while Ireland was represented by Minister Helen McEntee. The agreement marks a new step in strengthening diplomatic engagement and expanding bilateral relations between Doha and Dublin.
