Albudaiwi: GCC Supports Bahrain’s Security Measures

Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Jasem Mohamed Albudaiwi, strongly condemned the Iranian drone attacks targeting the Kingdom of Bahrain, describing them as a serious violation targeting civilian infrastructure and vital facilities.
Albudaiwi expressed the GCC’s firm rejection of the attacks, stressing that targeting civilian sites and critical infrastructure occurs when regional and international efforts focus on strengthening security, stability and resolving ongoing crises through dialogue.
He said the continuation of such attacks undermines de-escalation efforts and threatens initiatives seeking to restore peace and security in the region.
The GCC Secretary-General reaffirmed the council’s full support for all measures Bahrain takes to enhance its security, protect its sovereignty and safeguard its territorial integrity.
