La Paz: The United States offered help for Bolivia's efforts to combat drug trafficking and organised crime, signalling a renewal of diplomatic security cooperation.

Bolivian officials stated that the collaboration will concentrate on intelligence sharing, law enforcement training, and strengthening border controls to combat the movement of illegal substances. The idea comes as regional governments face increasing pressure from transnational criminal networks engaged in narcotics trafficking.

Officials from both countries emphasised the need of international collaboration in combating drug-related criminality, which continues to threaten Latin America's security and stability.

The new engagement is a move toward deeper bilateral cooperation after years of tumultuous relations between Washington and La Paz.
