Bangkok: Thailand has confirmed broadcast coverage for the FIFA World Cup as sports broadcaster Jasmine International (JAS) secured an 11th-hour agreement for domestic rights, putting an end to uncertainty just as the tournament begins.

The agreement gives JAS the rights to broadcast the 2026 FIFA World Cup in Thailand, with matches expected to be shown on its streaming platform MONOMAX and some programming possibly available on free-to-air television.

The agreement reportedly includes several FIFA events until 2030 and was approved shortly before launch, despite weeks of concerns that no local broadcaster would get the rights in time for the expanded 48-team tournament.

The World Cup is scheduled to take place in the United States, Canada, and Mexico from June 11 to July 19. Despite initial concerns about broadcast access, late breakthrough guarantees Thai viewers will be able to enjoy the tournament live.
