Kuwait Airport Security Officer Loses Leg in Brutal Attack
A Kuwaiti airport security officer has been seriously injured during a drone attack on Kuwait International Airport’s Terminal 1, according to multiple reports.
The officer, identified in local reports as Ayed Saad Al-Otaibi, was on duty at the time of the incident on Wednesday, 3 June, when the airport came under attack from hostile drones.
He is reported to have suffered severe injuries, including the loss of his right leg, while responding to the emergency and carrying out security duties during the incident.
The attack caused significant disruption at the airport and damage to civilian infrastructure, prompting an immediate emergency response.
Emergency teams at the scene provided first aid before transferring injured personnel, including the officer, to medical facilities for further treatment. Authorities have not yet issued an official detailed statement on the full extent of casualties or confirmed operational impacts at the airport.
