China Urges Iran, US to Uphold Ceasefire and Continue Talks
China has called on Iran and the United States to uphold the ceasefire and continue diplomatic engagement, warning that a renewed conflict would benefit no one.
Speaking at a daily press briefing, a spokesperson for China’s Foreign Ministry expressed concern over the latest exchange of fire involving Iran and the United States and the broader security situation in the Middle East.
The spokesperson urged all parties to respect the ceasefire agreement and encouraged Tehran and Washington to maintain the momentum of ongoing negotiations to help ease regional tensions.
