Paris: French President Emmanuel, at the 2026 Choose France meeting Macron revealed that the country had secured €93 billion ($108 billion) in investment pledges. The agreements encompass 71 projects and are estimated to create approximately 15,600 jobs in France.

SoftBank contributes greatly to the investment, having pledged €45 billion to create three large scale AI-driven data hubs in northern France by 2031. Macron said that the total value of the product may reach €75 billion, making it one of Europe's biggest artificial intelligence infrastructure investments.

Paris believes that a number of industries, including artificial intelligence, digital infrastructure, semiconductors, decarbonised energy, and innovative technologies, are essential to enhance European technical sovereignty and economic competitiveness.

The annual Choose France event, that Macron started in 2018, brings business executives and foreign investors together at the Palace of Versailles. France has been the top European destination for foreign investment for a number of years, according to government-backed investment reports.
