Call for Peace and Unity Mark OIC Chief’s Eid Al-Adha Message
The Secretary-General of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), Hissein Brahim Taha, extended his congratulations and blessings to Muslims around the world on the occasion of Eid Al-Adha 1447H.
In a message issued for the Islamic holiday, the OIC chief conveyed his sincere wishes to the Muslim Ummah, praying that Allah accepts the good deeds of pilgrims performing Hajj and Muslims celebrating Eid worldwide.
Taha described Eid Al-Adha as a blessed occasion that reflects the values of sacrifice, compassion and selflessness, while expressing hope for peace and harmony across the Muslim world.
The Secretary-General also extended congratulations to the leaders of OIC member states, wishing them good health and continued prosperity for their nations and peoples.
He paid special tribute to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and Crown Prince and Prime Minister Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, praising Saudi Arabia’s efforts in serving Islam and caring for pilgrims during the Hajj season.
Taha highlighted the Kingdom’s leading role in supporting causes related to the Islamic Ummah and ensuring the welfare and safety of pilgrims visiting the holy sites.
Concluding his message, the OIC Secretary-General prayed for greater security and stability across the Muslim world, expressing hope that Eid Al-Adha would help strengthen solidarity and joint Islamic cooperation.
He also voiced hope for an end to hardships facing Muslim nations and for a future marked by peace, prosperity and progress.
