NEW DELHI: US Secretary of State Marco Rubio, accompanied by his wife Jeanette, visited the iconic Taj Mahal in Agra on Monday ahead of high-stakes geopolitical meetings in New Delhi.
The top American diplomat paused his intense diplomatic schedule to admire the 17th-century UNESCO World Heritage Site, which he praised as a ‘true treasure of the world’.
Following this brief cultural excursion, Rubio traveled to India's capital to participate in the crucial Quad Foreign Ministers' meetings.
