Washington DC: US President Donald Trump announced he might skip his eldest son Donald Trump Jr.’s upcoming wedding in the Bahamas, stating the timing is highly inconvenient.

Speaking to reporters in the Oval Office on Thursday, Trump expressed clear hesitation about attending the Memorial Day weekend nuptials to Palm Beach socialite Bettina Anderson.

Trump explained his potential absence by citing his demanding official schedule and geopolitical tensions. He noted that he told his son the timing was bad, citing the ongoing military conflict in Iran and other pressing global matters as his primary reasons for staying behind.

The president acknowledged that traveling to a private celebration during a national crisis would invite heavy public scrutiny, complaining that the media would criticize his decision about whether to attend or stay home.
