Saudi Arabia Urges Pilgrims to Follow Hajj Movement Schedules

Saudi Arabia has completed preparations for transporting pilgrims during the 2026 Hajj season, with authorities finalising plans to manage movement between the holy sites and ensure smooth access to key locations including the Jamarat area and the holy sites metro network.

The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah said the transport strategy was developed in coordination with relevant authorities as part of an integrated operational system aimed at ensuring safety, efficiency and smooth crowd movement throughout the pilgrimage season.

According to the ministry, the plans rely on advanced planning methods and modern technology to regulate pilgrim transportation and improve the overall Hajj experience.

Authorities said field coordination will be strengthened through a unified command structure, faster information-sharing systems and rapid response mechanisms designed to address any on-ground developments during the pilgrimage.

The ministry stressed the importance of pilgrims adhering to approved movement schedules and transportation regulations, noting that cooperation from pilgrims plays a key role in maintaining organised and safe crowd flow across the holy sites.

Officials added that compliance with movement instructions is essential to ensuring a secure, orderly and well-managed Hajj season for all pilgrims.

The annual Hajj pilgrimage draws millions of Muslims from around the world to the holy cities of Makkah and Madinah each year.
