UAE Forms National Committee to Document Aggression and International Crimes
Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan has issued a new resolution establishing a national committee tasked with documenting acts of aggression, international crimes, and related damages affecting the United Arab Emirates.
According to the resolution, the committee will be chaired by the UAE Attorney General and will oversee the documentation of alleged Iranian attacks, related military actions, and their impact on the UAE, including damages affecting citizens, residents, visitors, and infrastructure.
The committee will include representatives from several federal ministries and local authorities, bringing together legal, security, technical, and economic expertise to support the documentation process.
Authorities said the committee will collect and analyse evidence, official records, technical reports, medical data, and forensic findings using internationally recognised legal and investigative standards.
Its responsibilities also include documenting casualties, injuries, and economic losses while establishing a detailed national record of incidents linked to the attacks.
The resolution allows the committee to work with national and international experts and specialists to strengthen the accuracy and credibility of its findings.
A technical secretariat will also be created to manage the committee’s operations, including the development of a secure central database to store evidence, reports, and documentation materials. Officials said the system will include safeguards to protect data integrity, track access, and preserve the legal chain of custody for both physical and digital evidence.
The UAE said the initiative reflects the country’s commitment to upholding the rule of law, protecting human rights, and supporting accountability efforts through internationally recognised legal documentation standards.
Authorities added that the committee’s findings could support future legal action at both national and international levels.
