UAE, Egypt Presidents Discuss Regional Security and Bilateral Cooperation

Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Abdel Fattah el-Sisi held talks in Abu Dhabi on strengthening ties between the two countries and reviewing regional developments.

During the meeting, the two leaders discussed ways to expand cooperation in areas supporting shared development goals and economic growth for both nations.

They also exchanged views on the latest regional developments and their impact on regional and international security and stability.

President El Sisi reaffirmed Egypt’s condemnation of the recent Iranian attacks targeting civilians and civilian facilities in the UAE, expressing Cairo’s solidarity with the Emirates and support for measures aimed at protecting the country’s security and sovereignty.

As part of the visit, Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed and President El Sisi toured the Egyptian fighter jet detachment stationed in the UAE, where they reviewed operational readiness and ongoing efforts to strengthen defence preparedness.
