Ethiopia and Sudan accuse each other of attacks

Nairobi: Tensions in the Horn of Africa have escalated as Ethiopia and Sudan traded accusations of violating each other's territory and supporting insurgent forces.
Ethiopia's foreign ministry accused the Sudanese army of providing arms and financial support to "mercenaries" from the Tigray People's Liberation Front (TPLF) to facilitate incursions along Ethiopia's western border.
In response, Sudan announced it is recalling its ambassador from Addis Ababa. Sudanese army officials alleged that UAE-made drones, launched from Ethiopia’s Bahir Dar region, have targeted military positions in Khartoum and other states.
While the UAE dismissed these claims as ‘unfounded propaganda,’ Sudan's foreign minister stated the country is ready for an ‘open confrontation’ with Ethiopia if necessary.
This diplomatic rift comes as both nations struggle with internal conflicts that analysts fear are increasingly drawing in external actors.
