ABU DHABI: In a landmark display of international cooperation, a joint operation involving the UAE, the United States, and China has led to the arrest of nearly 300 individuals linked to a sophisticated global financial crime network.

The crackdown targeted organized syndicates involved in large-scale money laundering, cyber-enabled fraud, and illegal fund transfers that spanned multiple continents.

The operation was the result of months of intelligence sharing and coordinated raids across various jurisdictions. Authorities revealed that the criminal network utilized complex digital infrastructures and ‘mule’ accounts to move hundreds of millions of dollars illicitly.

By leveraging the combined expertise of UAE's financial intelligence units, the US Department of Justice, and Chinese law enforcement, the task force successfully dismantled the core leadership of these groups.

This high-profile intervention underscores the UAE’s commitment to tightening financial regulations and working with global partners to eliminate cross-border economic threats.
