In a statement posted Thursday on X, Vice Admiral Brad Cooper, Commander of CENTCOM, provided an operational update reporting ‘undeniable progress’  as the military campaign in Iran enters its fifth week.

Cooper emphasized a significant shift in the operational landscape, noting that the country’s naval and air forces have been effectively grounded. ‘We don't see their navy sailing. We don't see their aircraft flying,’ Cooper stated, highlighting a total lack of Iranian military movement in the region.

Furthermore, the Commander claimed that Iran's air and missile defense systems have now been ‘largely destroyed,’ suggesting a collapse of their defensive infrastructure. U.S. officials have reinforced this assessment, asserting that the cumulative impact of the five-week campaign has successfully ‘decimated’ Iran's overall military capacity and its ability to respond to ongoing operations.
