Doha: The Ministry of Interior of Qatar has announced a one-month extension for all categories of entry visas that have expired or are nearing expiry in the Qatar.
In a statement issued on Tuesday, the ministry said the extension will take effect from Saturday, February 28, 2026, and will remain valid for one month, with the possibility of further extensions depending on developments.
The ministry confirmed that the extension will be processed automatically through approved electronic systems, will be exempt from any fees, and will not require applicants to visit ministry offices or submit new requests.
However, the ministry clarified that visa holders whose entry visas had violations recorded before February 28 must first settle the prescribed reconciliation fine for the period of overstay. Once the fine is paid, the one-month extension and fee exemption will be applied from the same effective date.
