The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) has confirmed that entrance buildings at Iran’s underground nuclear facility at the Natanz Fuel Enrichment Plant have sustained damage following recent strikes.
In a statement based on the latest satellite imagery, the agency said the damage was limited to the access and entrance structures, and that no additional impact was detected at the main enrichment facility itself. The IAEA also stressed that no radiological consequences are expected.
The nuclear watchdog noted that the underground plant had already been severely damaged during the June strikes, and that the newly identified damage does not appear to have affected the core facility.
The site is one of Iran’s key uranium enrichment facilities and remains under close international monitoring.
