Three US F-15E Jets Downed Over Kuwait in Apparent Friendly Fire Incident

Washington: Three US F-15E Strike Eagles flying in support of Operation Epic Fury went down over Kuwait late on March 1 in what officials described as an apparent friendly fire incident.
According to a statement, the aircraft were mistakenly shot down by Kuwaiti air defences during active combat operations that included attacks from Iranian aircraft, ballistic missiles and drones.
All six aircrew members ejected safely, were recovered and are reported to be in stable condition. US officials expressed gratitude to Kuwaiti defence forces for their support and assistance during the recovery.
Kuwait has acknowledged the incident. The cause remains under investigation, and further details are expected to be released as they become available.
