Saudi Crown Prince Receives Prince William in Diriyah
Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman received Britain’s Prince of Wales, Prince William, in Diriyah today, where they toured Salwa Palace in the historic Turaif district.
Earlier, Prince William arrived in Riyadh to begin a three-day diplomatic visit. He stepped off a Royal Air Force jet at King Khalid International Airport shortly after 6 p.m. local time (3 p.m. UK time) and was greeted with a traditional welcome of coffee and dates by Riyadh’s Deputy Governor, Prince Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Abdulaziz.
During his visit, Prince William is scheduled to hold talks with the Crown Prince, followed by a private dinner at MBS’s farm, located within a UNESCO World Heritage site in the Saudi capital. The trip is regarded as one of the most significant diplomatic engagements of his overseas visits in support of the UK.
