UAE Rejects Use of Its Territory for Military Action Against Iran
The United Arab Emirates has affirmed that it will not allow its territory, airspace, or waters to be used for any military operations against Iran, according to a statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The ministry said the UAE is firmly committed to preventing its land, airspace, or maritime areas from being used for hostile military actions against Iran, adding that it will not provide any logistical support for such operations.
The statement stressed that dialogue, de-escalation, adherence to international law, and respect for national sovereignty remain the most effective means of resolving ongoing regional and international crises. The UAE also called for disputes to be settled exclusively through peaceful means.
The remarks come amid heightened tensions between the United States and Iran. U.S. President Donald Trump has previously stated that Washington was considering the use of force against Iran in response to protests within the country. On January 23, Trump said the United States was closely monitoring developments in Iran and had deployed significant military assets, including naval forces, to the region.
