Dubai: The UAE has launched a nationwide initiative called “Mental Health 360” to integrate mental well-being into everyday healthcare, the Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP) announced on Monday.
The campaign promotes a holistic healthcare approach that recognises the close connection between mental and physical health, placing quality of life and family wellbeing at the centre of national health priorities. It was unveiled at an event in Dubai in collaboration with global biopharmaceutical firm AbbVie.
Under the initiative, mental health support will be embedded into the broader health system, with enhanced public awareness efforts aimed at encouraging open dialogue and early intervention. Officials said the campaign aligns with the UAE’s strategic focus on prevention, early support and integrated care, reinforcing that mind and body should be treated as interconnected parts of overall health.
Dr. Hussain Abdul Rahman Al Rand, Assistant Undersecretary for the Public Health Sector at MoHAP, stressed that building a robust and integrated mental healthcare system requires strong public-private partnerships to help individuals enjoy complete health and sustained well-being.
The initiative is also designed to support the goals of the Year of the Family 2026, encouraging communities to view mental health as a shared responsibility and to reduce stigma surrounding psychological wellbeing.
This launch builds on the UAE’s growing focus on mental health, which includes efforts to make psychological support accessible through digital platforms and community programmes aimed at raising awareness and strengthening mental health services nationwide.
