Aditya Dhar’s spy thriller Dhurandhar, starring Ranveer Singh, has solidified its status as the highest-grossing Indian film of 2025, officially entering the elite 1,000 core club worldwide in just 21 days. Despite being in its third week and facing new competition from the rom-com Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri, the film saw a massive surge on Christmas Day, raking in 28.60 crore in a single day. This "Ranveer renaissance" has seen the film outgross major hits like Kantara: Chapter 1 and Chhaava, with total domestic nett collections reaching 668.80 crore.

The film's dominance is driven by high-octane action and standout performances, particularly from Ranveer Singh and Akshaye Khanna, the latter of whom has gone viral for his dance sequence in the song "FA9LA." Even as newer releases struggle to find a footing, Dhurandhar remains a cultural juggernaut, maintaining a nearly identical pace to its opening week numbers. With the story far from over, anticipation is already building for the sequel, which is scheduled to hit theaters in March 2026.
