Riyadh Metro Announces Annual and Student Term Ticket Prices

Riyadh: The Riyadh Public Transport Authority has announced the pricing of annual tickets for the Riyadh Metro, along with term tickets for students, effective from January 1, 2026, as part of ongoing efforts to enhance transport services and facilitate smoother mobility across the capital.

The authority said annual tickets will be available to all passengers in both digital and plastic formats. Prices have been set at SR1,260 for standard class and SR3,150 for first class. Passengers were encouraged to purchase tickets through a registered account to ensure secure storage and easy retrieval when required.

In addition, semester tickets for students will be offered to school and university students in standard class only, also in digital and plastic formats. Priced at SR260, these tickets will be valid for four months from the date of activation, covering one full academic semester.

The Riyadh Public Transport Authority said the initiative aims to provide more flexible and accessible transport options, encouraging residents to rely on modern public transportation solutions for their daily commutes.
