Family Fun Day to Debut at Spinneys Dubai 92 Cycle Challenge in February 2026
Dubai will host a new family-focused cycling event as part of the Spinneys Dubai 92 Cycle Challenge, with the launch of a Family Fun Day at Expo City Dubai on Saturday, 14 February 2026.
Held in partnership with the Dubai Sports Council, the new initiative is designed as a full day of activities for families and young riders. It brings together the annual Spinneys Junior Rides, a newly introduced Family Fun Ride, and the Eat Well Live Well Village, creating a lively community celebration ahead of the main race weekend.
The morning programme will feature the Spinneys Junior Rides, open to children aged between two and 12. The rides aim to promote confidence, fitness and a love for cycling through age-appropriate courses. Younger participants in the Mini Movers and Pedal Pals categories will ride on shorter loops within Expo City Dubai, while older children in categories such as Rocket Riders, Speed Squad, Power Pedallers and Rapid Racers will take on longer routes extending onto surrounding roads.
All junior riders will experience a race-day atmosphere and will receive medals, certificates, entertainment and refreshments.
Junior Rides distances include:
-
Mini Movers (2–3 years): 1km
-
Pedal Pals (4–5 years): 2km
-
Rocket Riders (6–7 years): 3km
-
Speed Squad (8–9 years): 6km
-
Power Pedallers (9–10 years): 9km
-
Rapid Racers (11–12 years): 9km
From early afternoon, the venue will shift focus to the new Family Fun Ride. This relaxed 3km loop is open to all ages and allows families to cycle together around Expo City Dubai’s landmarks. The route will feature live entertainment, activity zones, themed characters, face painting, mascots and spot prizes, offering a different experience with each loop.
Junior Ride participants will be able to join the Family Fun Ride at no extra cost. Children under eight can take part if accompanied by a parent. All participants on Family Fun Day will receive a finisher medal provided by Spinneys.
Families can also spend time at the Eat Well Live Well Village, which will offer food options, entertainment areas and spaces to relax between activities. The village reflects the event’s focus on wellness, healthy living and community engagement.
Organisers said the introduction of Family Fun Day highlights the continued growth of the Spinneys Dubai 92 Cycle Challenge as one of the region’s most inclusive and community-driven sporting events. The annual cycling challenge attracts thousands of participants each year, bringing together professional riders, amateurs and families from across the Middle East.
