Hero Dubai Desert Classic Returns in January 2026

The countdown has begun for the 37th edition of the Hero Dubai Desert Classic, which will take place from 22 to 25 January 2026 at Emirates Golf Club.

One of Dubai’s biggest sporting events, the tournament will once again combine world-class golf with live entertainment, family activities and a wide range of food options, all under the city’s winter sunshine.

Star Players Set to Compete

The 2026 tournament will feature a strong field of international stars. Masters champion Rory McIlroy returns aiming for a record fifth Dallah Trophy in his 20th appearance at the event. He will be joined by defending champion Tyrrell Hatton, world number three Tommy Fleetwood, major winners Dustin Johnson and Shane Lowry, as well as Ryder Cup star Viktor Hovland, the 2022 winner. More player announcements are expected.

Bigger Family Zone and Kids Activities

Family entertainment has been expanded this year, with the Kids’ Zone in Tournament Town now twice its previous size. Visitors can enjoy workshops, creative activities, roaming performers, parades and interactive games. Family Friday will also feature live music from DJ Julie, while upgraded play areas include trampolines, soft play zones, carnival games and a VR corner.

Live Music and Festival Evenings

From 5:30pm each evening, Tournament Town will host live music and DJ performances. Local bands and singers will perform before DJ sets keep the atmosphere lively late into the night, giving the event a strong festival feel.

New Food Destination: Eat Street

A new food area, Eat Street, will debut in 2026, bringing together popular local and international food vendors. The area will feature food trucks, seating spaces and a large screen showing live tournament action, allowing visitors to enjoy the golf while dining.

Premium Experiences and Hospitality

The popular “Social on Sixteen” brunch experience returns with views overlooking the 16th hole, offering unlimited drinks and casual dining. Limited Dallah Lounge hospitality packages will also be available on Thursday and Friday, providing premium views, dining and drinks.

Tickets and Entry

  • Free entry for all spectators on Thursday 22 and Friday 23 January

  • Weekend tickets: AED 100 in advance (AED 125 at the gate)

  • Children under 17: Free entry on all days when registered and accompanied by an adult

  • Premium packages start from AED 695, with limited hospitality options from AED 2,100

With last year’s event reaching full capacity, organisers are encouraging fans and families to register early to secure their places.

The 2026 Hero Dubai Desert Classic promises top-level golf, entertainment and a full day out for visitors of all ages.
