UAE Opens King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa Park in Abu Dhabi on Bahrain National Day

Abu Dhabi: The United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Bahrain have marked their strong bilateral relationship with the opening of King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa Park in Abu Dhabi. The park's inauguration coincides with Bahrain's 54th National Day, highlighting the deep friendship and cooperation between the two nations. The park is named in honour of Bahrain’s ruler His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.

The park boasts an impressive array of features, including over 1,100 mature Ghaf trees, elevated tracks, scenic trails, a pump track, and a 700-meter air-conditioned walkway. These amenities are designed to cater to a wide range of visitors, from families and fitness enthusiasts to nature lovers and those seeking relaxation.

The park offers a serene escape with its open lawns, yoga and meditation decks, and vibrant play areas for kids. Dedicated fitness zones cater to people of determination and senior visitors, promoting a culture of inclusivity. A modern café with a cooled outdoor terrace and elevated views of the forest canopy is perfect for relaxation. Food trucks and water fountains add to the convenience, making the park an ideal destination for a day out.

Mohamed Ali Al Shorafa, Chairman of the Department of Municipalities and Transport (DMT), emphasized the significance of the park, stating, "The opening of King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa Park reflects the deep bond shared between the UAE and Bahrain, and most importantly, the fraternal relationship between their leaders, which extends to their peoples."
