Iran has signed a $25 billion agreement with Russia’s state nuclear corporation, Rosatom, to build four nuclear power plants in the country, the IRNA news agency reported on Friday.
Earlier this week, Rosatom announced that it had signed a memorandum of understanding with Iran for the construction of small nuclear power plants, but did not specify how many would be built.
The new agreement highlights growing cooperation between Tehran and Moscow in the field of nuclear energy.
