Saudi Arabia to Host WrestleMania 43 in 2027, a First in Event’s History

Saudi Arabia is set to make history in 2027 as it hosts WrestleMania 43, marking the first time World Wrestling Entertainment’s (WWE) flagship event will be staged outside North America since its inception nearly four decades ago.

The announcement was made on Friday by Turki Alalshikh, Chairman of the General Entertainment Authority (GEA), who confirmed that Riyadh will welcome the iconic wrestling spectacle as part of the kingdom’s annual Riyadh Season festival.

Calling the move a “historic moment” for Saudi Arabia’s rapidly expanding entertainment industry, Alalshikh said the event would be a milestone for both the country and global fans.
“WrestleMania is the biggest event in the world of wrestling, and hosting it during Riyadh Season 2027 will be a milestone,” he said. “We aim to deliver an unprecedented edition that lives up to its legacy and value for fans worldwide.”

Paul “Triple H” Levesque, WWE’s Chief Content Officer, praised Saudi Arabia’s commitment to transforming the global entertainment scene, highlighting the GEA’s pivotal role.
“They have been exceptional partners for us,” Levesque noted. “We look forward to producing a WrestleMania on a scale never seen before.”

The announcement underscores Saudi Arabia’s growing footprint in international sports and live entertainment, further cementing Riyadh’s status as a hub for world-class events.
