Israeli Military Declares Gaza City a “Dangerous Combat Zone”

The Israeli military announced on Friday that Gaza City has been designated a “dangerous combat zone” as forces prepare to advance into the largest city in the Palestinian territory after nearly two years of conflict.
According to the statement, the daily tactical pauses in fighting — which are intended to allow humanitarian aid to reach civilians — will no longer apply to Gaza City starting Friday at 10:00 a.m. (0700 GMT).
The military said the change reflects the intensity of ongoing battles in the area.
