UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer accused Russian President Vladimir Putin of undermining any chance of peace in Ukraine following a massive overnight attack on Kyiv.
The late-night barrage of missiles and drones struck apartment buildings, killing 14 people and causing widespread damage across the city.
Starmer condemned the attack on X (formerly Twitter), saying: "Putin is killing children and civilians, and sabotaging hopes of peace. This bloodshed must end."
Among the damaged buildings was the office of the British Council in Kyiv, which suffered significant destruction.
