British Airways Flight Attendant Found Naked on Plane While Under the Influence of Drugs
A British Airways flight attendant was discovered naked in an aircraft toilet while reportedly high on drugs during a flight from California to London, a court heard.
Haden Pentecost, 41, reportedly began “sweating” and “babbling” mid-flight, alarming both colleagues and passengers. A blood test later confirmed the presence of methamphetamine and amphetamines.
Uxbridge Magistrates’ Court heard that Pentecost, who has since been dismissed, had failed to complete safety checks before take-off and was temporarily stood down by his manager.
During the flight, Pentecost complained of cramps and said he needed to change his clothes. He then locked himself in a toilet, where a colleague eventually found him naked and seemingly unaware of his state. He showed signs of distress, including dilated pupils and a rapid heart rate, and had to be monitored every 20 minutes until the plane landed at Heathrow. Paramedics later took him to hospital.
Pentecost, from Basingstoke, has been granted bail and is due to be sentenced at Isleworth Crown Court at a later date.
