Bangladesh Air Force Jet Crashes into Dhaka School

A Bangladesh Air Force training aircraft crashed onto the campus of Milestone School and College in Uttara, a busy neighborhood in northern Dhaka, on Monday, killing one person and injuring several others.
The tragic accident happened during school hours, with children reportedly present on the campus. Dramatic footage on local TV showed thick smoke and flames rising from the crash site, prompting immediate concern for students and staff.
Fire and rescue teams, along with military personnel, rushed to the scene to control the fire and assist the injured. Jamuna TV reported that at least 13 people, including students, were hurt in the incident.
The Bangladesh Army confirmed that the aircraft was an F-7 BGI, a training jet used by the Air Force. In a brief statement, they said investigations are underway.
Fire service official Lima Khanam confirmed over the phone that one person had died and four others were seriously injured, though additional details were not immediately available.
Authorities are continuing rescue and recovery efforts while ensuring the safety of those in the area. The school has not yet released an official statement.
