Speaking at a NATO summit in The Hague, U.S. President Donald Trump praised Israel for its resilience following recent attacks and claimed that Iran's nuclear ambitions had been severely delayed due to recent American strikes.
"Israel got hit very hard, especially in the last couple of days," Trump said. "Netanyahu should be very proud—they've really been great."
He added confidently, “Iran’s not going to be building bombs for a long time. I think it was just a tremendous victory for everybody, including Iran.”
However, Trump’s optimistic remarks appear to contradict recent classified U.S. intelligence reports. According to sources familiar with the assessments, the strikes only set back Iran’s nuclear program by a few months—not the long-term disruption Trump suggested.
The comments come amid ongoing regional tensions and global concern over the escalation between Iran, Israel, and Western powers.
