Qatar Airways reaches 150 Starlink-equipped aircraft
Qatar Airways has reached 150 Starlink-equipped widebody aircraft, becoming the first airline globally to operate Starlink-equipped Boeing 787-9 aircraft.
The airline has completed the Starlink rollout across its Boeing 787-8 fleet and is on track to equip its entire Boeing 787 fleet by the end of 2026.
More than 23 million passengers have used Starlink connectivity on over 86,000 Qatar Airways flights since the service launched in October 2024.
The airline said Starlink-equipped aircraft can provide Wi-Fi speeds of up to 500 Mbps, with up to 323 Starlink flights operating daily.
Qatar Airways has now established Starlink-equipped fleets across its Boeing 777, Airbus A350 and Boeing 787 aircraft.
