Doha unveils immersive “ColorVerse” summer attraction
Doha is set to welcome a new large-scale immersive attraction this summer as Qatar Calendar unveils the “ColorVerse Experience”, an interactive entertainment journey designed for families and visitors from across the Gulf region.
Running from 15 July to 15 September 2026, the attraction will be hosted at Katara Cultural Village’s South Parking area, one of Doha’s key cultural and tourism hubs. The experience is expected to be a major feature of Qatar’s summer holiday programme, particularly for families seeking indoor entertainment during the school break.
Organised under Qatar Calendar, part of Visit Qatar, the launch reflects the country’s continued push to expand its seasonal tourism offerings and strengthen its position as a regional leisure destination.
A journey into the world of Colorama
The ColorVerse Experience takes visitors into a fictional universe called Colorama, once a vibrant world that has lost all colour after being drained by mysterious creatures known as the “Munchers”.
Participants take on the role of “Restorers”, tasked with reactivating the world’s core red, green and blue (RGB) colour systems. Guided by a character named HUE, visitors move through seven interactive zones, completing challenges that gradually restore colour and life to the environment.
The story builds towards a final mission in Colorama City, where participants work together to fully revive the world and defeat the colour-draining forces.
Interactive, multi-sensory entertainment
Designed as a walkthrough attraction, ColorVerse combines lighting effects, sound design, projection mapping, motion-based elements and interactive gameplay. Organisers say the aim is to create a fully immersive, multi-sensory environment suitable for children, teenagers and adults.
Beyond the main storyline, the experience will also feature live performances, themed installations and character meet-and-greet opportunities, offering multiple layers of engagement for visitors.
Located in Katara Cultural Village, the attraction benefits from strong connectivity and easy access for both residents and international tourists arriving via air and land.
Boosting Qatar’s summer tourism
As part of Qatar Calendar’s seasonal programming, the ColorVerse Experience aligns with broader efforts to enhance Qatar’s entertainment landscape and attract more visitors from across the GCC.
Officials say the initiative supports Qatar’s strategy to position itself as a year-round destination for cultural, family and leisure tourism, offering experiences that combine storytelling, technology and interactive design.
