Emirates Expands China Network Through Interline Agreement with Loong Air

Emirates has signed an interline agreement with Loong Air, significantly expanding its presence in China and giving customers access to more destinations beyond its own network.

Under the new partnership, Emirates passengers can now reach 22 cities across China through Loong Air, connecting via Hangzhou, Shenzhen, and Hong Kong. These destinations cover major regions including East, Northeast, South, Central, and Southwest China, opening convenient travel options for both business and leisure travellers.

The agreement simplifies travel by allowing passengers to book multi-airline itineraries under a single fare, with seamless baggage handling and consistent fare conditions throughout their journey. Key domestic hubs now accessible include Zhengzhou, Changchun, Haikou, Xiangyang, and Dazhou.

Tickets are available through Emirates’ official website, major Online Travel Agencies (OTAs), and all major Global Distribution Systems (GDS) via travel agents. Customers booking via Emirates’ website can also use popular online payment methods such as WeChat Pay and Alipay.

Strengthening Emirates’ Presence in China

The partnership with Loong Air is part of Emirates’ continued investment in the Chinese market. Last year, the airline added Shenzhen and Hangzhou to its network, deploying its award-winning Premium Economy on these routes and reintroducing its iconic A380 on Shanghai flights.

Since commencing operations in mainland China in 2004, Emirates now serves five major cities—Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, and Hangzhou—with a total of 49 weekly flights using a mix of A380s, A350s, and Boeing 777 aircraft. In addition to Loong Air, Emirates maintains partnerships with Air China, China Southern Airlines, and Sichuan Airlines, collectively providing access to over 110 destinations across China.
