First images of Nicole Kidman as ‘Scarpetta’ revealed
Manama: The first-look images from Scarpetta, Amazon Prime Video’s upcoming forensic crime thriller based on Patricia Cornwell’s bestselling Kay Scarpetta novels, have been released. Developed and written for television by Liz Sarnoff, the series brings Cornwell’s iconic character to life, with Nicole Kidman starring as Dr. Kay Scarpetta in this gripping adaptation.
The gripping crime thriller spans two timelines, following Kay Scarpetta (Nicole Kidman) from her early days as a Chief Medical Examiner in the late nineties to her present-day return to her hometown, where she reassumes her role while probing a grisly murder.
Alongside Nicole Kidman and Jamie Lee Curtis, the cast of Scarpetta includes Bobby Cannavale, Simon Baker and Ariana DeBose. The series is set to premiere on March 11, 2026.
