eVTOLs to Feature at Dubai Airshow 2025

In a landmark moment for global aviation, electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) aircraft will soar in the skies over Dubai Airshow 2025 — marking the first time these next-generation vehicles join the event’s flying display. The live demonstrations will offer visitors an unprecedented glimpse into the future of urban air mobility, showcasing the agility, innovation, and disruptive potential of electric aviation.

This milestone debut comes as Dubai Airshow prepares for its most ambitious edition yet, featuring more than 200 aircraft across its flying and static displays — the largest in its history. The lineup will span commercial, military, private, and unmanned aircraft, alongside breakthrough aviation technologies, promising a spectacular celebration of innovation and flight.

The inclusion of eVTOLs also underscores the show’s expanded focus on Advanced Air Mobility (AAM), with the 2025 edition set to host its most extensive AAM showcase to date. The dedicated platform will spotlight advances in infrastructure, regulation, and certification driving this fast-emerging sector, cementing Dubai Airshow’s position as a global hub for aviation innovation.

“Each edition of Dubai Airshow is about pushing boundaries and inspiring progress,” said Tim Hawes, Managing Director at Informa Markets. “The introduction of eVTOLs to the flying display isn’t just about showcasing aircraft — it’s about demonstrating what’s possible when vision, technology, and collaboration come together. Dubai Airshow 2025 will set the pace for the industry’s future.”

Several aircraft will make their regional debut this year, including COMAC’s C919 and C929, appearing in the Middle East for the first time. The Embraer KC-390 Millennium will also return to the static display, while leading manufacturers such as Airbus and Boeing will feature flagship models including the A350-1000 and 777-219ER.

Taking place from 17–21 November 2025 at Dubai World Central (DWC) under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the event will welcome over 1,500 exhibitors, 490 delegations, 350 speakers, and representatives from 98 countries, making it the largest and most future-focused edition to date.
