Kanye West and Wife Bianca Censori Split: Reports

Reports emerged Thursday that rapper Kanye West and his wife, Bianca Censori, have separated, following a tumultuous period marked by controversy. Entertainment website TMZ revealed that both parties have sought legal advice regarding a potential divorce. According to the Daily Mail, Censori has agreed to a $5 million payout.

The split comes shortly after the couple made headlines with a controversial red carpet appearance at the Grammy Awards, where Censori appeared nearly nude while on the arm of West. The highly publicized stunt raised concerns over potential coercion, with many questioning whether West had forced Censori into the appearance, given her frequent semi-nude appearances during their two-year marriage.

In the days that followed, West, who now goes by Ye, launched into a series of rants on the social media platform X (formerly Twitter), calling himself a "Nazi" and making unsettling claims about his control over Censori, including saying he had "dominion over" her. The account was deactivated by the end of last week, though it remains unclear whether it was done so by X or voluntarily by West.

In another move that stirred backlash, West’s Yeezy.com website was taken down after it began selling T-shirts adorned with a swastika. E-commerce provider Shopify removed the site for violating its terms of service. The website now only displays a message stating “Yeezy stores coming soon.”

Sources close to the couple told the New York Post that Censori was reportedly upset by the Nazi-themed T-shirt and decided to end the relationship. “The swastika shirt was the last straw,” one source said. “She can’t be associated with that.”

However, a representative for the couple, Milo Yiannopoulos, denied the split, telling The Hollywood Reporter that the couple was in Los Angeles preparing to celebrate Valentine’s Day together and that any updates on their personal life would come from them directly.

West, who has previously discussed living with bipolar disorder and now identifies as autistic, was previously married to reality star Kim Kardashian, with whom he shares four children. They divorced in 2022.
