Bahrain International Circuit (BIC) will be bustling with activity today with the final preparations set to wrap up ahead of this weekend’s Formula 1 Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix 2024.

While racing is only scheduled to begin tomorrow, there will already be plenty happening on and off the track today at “The Home of Motorsport in the Middle East”, highlighted by the F1 Pit Lane Walk for all ticket-holders.

Prior to this, plenty of the behind-the-scenes work will be conducted during the day by officials from F1, the Federation Internationale de l’Automobile (FIA), BIC and the Bahrain Motor Federation.

These include a track inspection; checks on all timing, marshalling, and broadcasting systems; a high-speed track test involving both the F1 safety and medical cars going out onto the circuit; and much more.

These essential activities are a must to help ensure the highest levels of safety for all participants, and the smooth running of all the weekend’s action. The busy day at BIC will also include drivers’ group photographs for the class of 2024 in both the FIA Formula 2 Championship and FIA Formula 3 Championship, an F1 drivers’ press conference, and F2 and F3 drivers’ and team managers’ meetings.

Fans will be able to get in on the happenings with the highly anticipated F1 Pit Lane Walk, open to all ticket-holders.

Pit Walk

The pit walk offers an incredible opportunity to see the F1 teams and their cars up close. Race-goers will be able to personally experience the F1 Pit Lane and see F1 mechanics and engineers hard at work in their garages as they prepare to race.

This evening’s Pit Lane Walk is scheduled for 7pm to 8.30pm. Being one of the most popular attractions of the grand prix each year, thousands are expected to turn up and take part.

BIC therefore advises those wishing to attend to come early to maximise their time in the activity. BIC will open its gates for the Pit Lane Walk at 4pm and close them at 8:30pm. Fans will be able to take pictures and, if lucky, spot one of their favourite F1 drivers in their garage working with their team members.

The F1 Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix is the highly anticipated first of a record 24 rounds in the 2024 FIA F1 World Championship. The Kingdom of Bahrain will be celebrating “20 Years of a Modern Classic”, marking its milestone 20th anniversary in motor racing’s top flight.

The grand prix will also be the first-ever F1 Saturday night race in Sakhir, and it promises to be a record-breaking event, with tickets to BIC’s grandstands having already completely sold out. Fans wishing to be a part of F1 history can still take advantage of two of BIC’s hospitality options, The Dome by F1 Experiences and The Champions Club.

There is some availability in each, both of which offer exclusive experiences in an unmatched setting. The Dome by F1 Experiences and The Champions Club are specially curated hospitality options created in cooperation with F1 Experiences for the most passionate of F1 enthusiasts. To purchase these hospitality packages, go to bahraingp.com, call the BIC Hotline on +973-17450000, or visit the BIC stand at City Centre Bahrain.
