Khaldiya, Sitra in crucial stalemate in football league

Title contenders Al Khaldiya and Sitra played to a 2-2 stalemate last night in their week 17 clash of the 2022/2023 Nasser bin Hamad Bahrain Premier Football League.
Ismaeel Abdullatif and Luiz Fernando Correa Sales were both on target for Khaldiya in the game, while scoring for Sitra was Barfo Ernest, who had a brace.
With a share of the points, both Khaldiya and Sitra improved to 31 points apiece on the league table.
They are now tied with leaders Manama, who have a game in hand. Khaldiya posted their fourth draw while Sitra had their seventh.
Meanwhile, in yesterday’s other game, Al Shabab defeated East Riffa 1-0. Shabab claimed their seventh victory and improved to 23 points.
East Riffa suffered their seventh loss and stayed on 18 markers.
