Alba crowned champions
Aluminium Bahrain B.S.C. (Alba)’s determination to carve a leadership role in the sporting arena gained momentum as the Alba Football Team was crowned as the champion of the Companies and Establishment Football League 2015, after winning 4-0 against GPIC team in an exciting finale on Monday.
The finale at Alba Club saw four great goals scored by talented Alba employees. The event was well attended by Alba’s top officials as well as an enthusiastic crowd.
The league is among many major sports’ events supported by the company, which in turn shelter some of Bahrain’s most outstanding sportsmen.
Commenting on the result of the match, Alba CMO and Team Manager Khalid A Latif said, “Alba as a company has always encouraged the active participation of its employees in sporting activities. We recognise its importance in building character, in fostering team spirit, and in promoting a healthy lifestyle.”
“The Alba Football Team has made us proud because of their accomplishment, and more so, for demonstrating that great things can be achieved through effective teamwork,” added the CMO.
Alba’s support for the Companies and Industrial Establishment Football League stretches over three decades since the League’s inception in 1979.
