BOC marks National Action Charter anniversary

The Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC) is organising a special event to celebrate the 15th Anniversary of the National Action Charter (NAC). Themed “Our charter… is our future”, this celebration ceremony will be organised in cooperation with the Gulf University and is part of the committee plan to promote community partnership with national institutions and organisations, and in compliance with the agreement signed with the Gulf University.

This event will be split into two functions, with the morning session taking place at Isa Town Sports City in Riffa, while the Gulf University will be hosting the evening part of the celebration.

BOC IT director and head of Communication Committee Nawaf Abdulrahman said the 15th anniversary of the NAC is regarded a renewal of the pledge of allegiance and loyalty to the leadership, the achievements and successes during the era of His Majesty the King.

“The National Action Charter made a quantum leap in Bahrain’s modern history and was endorsed by an overwhelming popular majority, leading the nation to further development and progress,” said Abdulrahman.

Final arrangements of the programme have been made by BOC and Gulf University and invitations have been sent to all national sports federations and will feature a variety of sporting, cultural and entertaining activities.

The celebration is open to the general public, athletes, university and school students.
