Al Ittifaq Crowned Bahrain First Division Champions

The Bahrain First Division League concluded yesterday after Matchday 22, confirming the champions and final standings for the season.
Al Ittifaq were crowned champions in style, sealing the title with a 4–1 victory over Isa Town at Al Ahli Stadium. Despite falling behind in the 21st minute to Mahmood Abdulredha’s opener, Al Ittifaq responded swiftly, with Adel Al Jadawi leveling the match in the 27th minute.
After the break, the champions took full control. An own goal from Mohamed Fayez in the 50th minute shifted momentum firmly in their favour, before Hasan Mohamed extended the lead just three minutes later. Abdulghafoor Mehri put the result beyond doubt in the 72nd minute, sparking celebrations as the title was secured.
Elsewhere, East Riffa ended their campaign emphatically with a 4–0 win over Galali at FIFA Stadium. Saud Mohsin struck early to set the tone, while Obus Prince doubled the advantage in the 72nd minute. Luiz Fernando added a penalty three minutes later, before Mohsin capped the performance with his second goal deep into stoppage time.
At Hamad Town Stadium, Buri closed their season with a composed 3–0 win over Al Tadhamun. Yousef Hassan opened the scoring in the 26th minute, Ali Hassan converted from the spot midway through the second half, and Daniel Lezile rounded off the result in the 79th minute.
With the championship decided, attention now shifts to promotion and playoff battles. Alongside champions Al Ittifaq, East Riffa have also secured promotion to the Nasser Bin Hamad Premier League for the 2026–2027 season.
Meanwhile, Al Ittihad and Manama Club will now prepare for the promotion playoffs against the 9th and 10th placed sides from the top division, pending final weekend results.
