Defending champions Muharraq and Al Ahli booked their places in the semi-finals of the 2025–26 His Royal Highness the Crown Prince’s Cup last night, setting up a final-four clash after their quarter-final wins at Isa bin Rashid Arena.
Muharraq produced a comfortable display to sweep aside Al Tadhamun 3-0 (25-18, 25-17, 25-16), reinforcing their status as tournament favourites. The holders were in control from the outset, using disciplined serving and sharp attacking play to steadily break down Tadhamun’s defence. Each set followed a similar pattern, with the Red Wolves pulling away to win in straight sets.
Al Ahli then overcame Al Najma 3-0 (25-22, 26-24, 30-28) in a match that was far closer than the scoreline suggests, with all three sets going down to the wire. Al Najma kept the pressure on throughout, particularly in a dramatic third set that extended to 30 points, but Al Ahli held firm in the key moments to secure their semi-final spot.
The semi-final line-up is now confirmed for Wednesday at the same venue. Dar Kulaib will face Bani Jamra at 7pm, before Muharraq take on Al Ahli at 8:30pm.
Dar Kulaib come into the tie in strong form after winning the Isa Bin Rashid Bahrain Volleyball League title, adding extra weight to their clash with Bani Jamra and setting up momentum heading into the knockout stage.
The winners will progress to the final on Saturday at 7pm, also at Isa bin Rashid Arena.
Muharraq lifted last season’s title after a hard-fought four-set win over Dar Kulaib, setting the stage for another high-profile meeting between two of the competition’s leading sides.
