Tennis Federation celebrates youth contribution

The Bahrain Tennis Federation held a recognition ceremony to honor young players who served as ball boys during international and regional tournaments hosted throughout the current season. The initiative reflects the Federation’s ongoing commitment to youth development and promoting values of discipline, responsibility, and engagement in sport.
The ceremony was attended by His Excellency Shaikh Abdulaziz bin Mubarak Al Khalifa, President of the Bahrain Tennis Federation, along with Board Member Mohammed Salman, Jameela Al Nashaba, Head of the Women’s Committee, and Ms. Naila Al Meer, Head of Marketing and Public Relations. Parents of the participating youths also attended the event.
Shaikh Abdulaziz praised the participants for their commitment and discipline, emphasizing their positive role in supporting tournament operations and the Federation’s broader youth development strategy.
He stated: “Recognizing these young participants aligns with the Federation’s strategy to support youth and strengthen their connection to tennis. We are proud of their commitment, discipline, and positive spirit throughout their involvement in organizing the tournaments.”
He further noted their contribution to the smooth running of events: “The young ball boys played an important role in the success of this season’s tournaments. Their discipline and professionalism supported smooth match operations and reflected the high standards of organization in the Kingdom of Bahrain.”
He also highlighted the developmental value of the experience: “This exposure to a professional sporting environment helps instill values such as teamwork, responsibility, and discipline, contributing to their personal development.”
The Federation concluded that the recognition is part of its continued efforts to acknowledge all contributors to its events and to invest in youth as a foundation for the future of tennis in Bahrain.
